As part of the School of Science and Technology's Engineering Research Seminar Series, Dale Richards, Nottingham Trent University presents: Human-Autonomy Systems.
Abstract
Dr Dale Richards recently joined NTU in June 2019, following 12 years at QinetiQ and six years at Coventry University. In this talk Dale will be providing an overview of the research he has been involved with over the past decade and how this has formed his research focus. The talk will briefly cover several research projects from QinetiQ, and primarily focus on his recent research on how humans interact with complex and intelligent systems. The talk will cover research on autonomous unmanned aerial systems and autonomous cars. Dale will also introduce a recent research project that has just been awarded to NTU by the Defence And Security Accelerator (DASA) - a branch of the UK Government that facilitates research for the UK Ministry of Defence. The aim of the talk is to introduce the topic to colleagues at NTU and encourage collaboration.
