As part of the School of Science and Technology Engineering and Biomedical Sciences Research Seminar Series, Dr Xin Li, University of Leicester presents: Intelligent Biomedical Signal Processing in Complex Cardiac Arrhythmias.

Abstract

Cardiac arrhythmia can be associated with serious symptoms that can affect our ability to function. Early and appropriate intervention can have a significant positive impact on the clinical outcome of the treatment. Dr. Li’s research interest is to discover the underlying mechanisms and optimise the diagnosis and treatment in cardiac arrhythmia using engineering skills in digital signal processing, algorithms development and machine learning.  He will introduce work from his group in designing novel methods to analyse biomedical data and how these could help to achieve better treatment and early prevention.
