As a Fairtrade University, Nottingham Trent University is once again raising awareness and celebrating our commitment to Fairtrade during Fairtrade Fortnight. Find out more here

Programme

  • Tuesday 25th February 11am-3pm - Pavilion, Clifton Campus
    Visit the FairTrade Stall at the #NTUGlobalWeek Cultural Fair to sample Fairtrade honey (served on pancakes, of course), and learn a bit more about ethical beekeeping. Try your hand at one of our games and grab yourself a piece of Fairtrade chocolate.
  • Thursday 27th February 11am-3pm - Newton, City Campus Visit the FairTrade Stall at the #NTUGlobalWeek Cultural Fair to sample Fairtrade honey (served on pancakes, of course), and learn a bit more about ethical beekeeping. Try your hand at one of our games and grab yourself a piece of Fairtrade chocolate.
  • Friday 28th February 11am- 3pm - Newton, City Campus                                                                                                                           Come along and make some crafts using ethically sourced materials at the interactive Elefair workshop at the #NTUGlobalWeek Cultural Fair. You can also check out their range of ethically traded goods from Nepal and Bali.

Other ways to get involved:

  • Look out for the Fairtrade Hidden Stories around campus throughout the fortnight! Share a photo of yourself with one of the Hidden Stories before 8th March for a chance to win a Fairtrade prize #NTUfairtrade
  • Why not try the Fairtrade coffee sold at our NTU Campus catering outlets?!
  • Play or Support your team in the Global Week Futsal World Cup on Saturday 7th March. The Fairtrade footballs used provide fair pay and safe working conditions for the works in Bala Sports' facilities in India and Pakistan.
