Described by Gramophone as, ‘spot-on in interpretative instinct’, the Aquinas Piano Trio have established themselves as one of Britain’s most sought-after chamber groups. Following their Wigmore Hall debut, Musical Opinion commented, ‘This sold out concert hall was in awe, ecstatic with joy at the final cadence’. Their growing list of recordings includes the Saint-Saens Trios, released on Guild in 2015, and their CD of Mendelssohn Trios was The Strad magazine’s Choice of the Month.
'Sensational playing by the Aquinas at their Sunday morning Wigmore concert: sparkling, brilliantly witty Haydn followed by voluptuously phrased Brahms. This is a terrific ensemble.'
Barry Millington, London Evening Standard
'This dazzling young trio is rising fast. If the Aquinas Piano Trio doesn't go on to become one of the most admired of its generation I really will eat my hat'
'Accomplished, artistic, assured - these three words alone would warrant the Aquinas Piano Trio its triple-A rating'
