Event details

This paper scrutinizes what information, communications, and entertainment technologies are doing to people and the societies they belong to, especially (but not exclusively) in formerly-colonised nations. These technologies include phones and drones, social media, music and video streaming, and blogs. Technology and its impact on or merger with the human is something my chosen writers (from Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie to Mohsin Hamid) are fascinated by. These authors’ central focus is, understandably, often on how fiction might respond.
