NTU Enterprise wants to hear from local businesses, students and graduate entrepreneurs as we build a community of enterprise and innovation across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
In our next session as an enterprise community, we will be focusing on the topic of pivoting. What is it? How can we apply this to our own businesses? And is it really the right move for us?
Join the Enterprise team, along with our four guest panel members for this digital session where you can find out exactly what pivoting would mean for your organisation. We will discuss the ins and outs of the topic, before opening the event up for guests to submit their questions for our panel to answer.
After completing his degree in Psychology Jeremy went in to the world of business and managed hospitality and leisure sector businesses for 12 years up to Operations level. Working in thriving, turnaround and start-up units, the experience gained from his previous role enabled him to join Entrepreneurial Spark (ES) and challenge/support thousands of entrepreneurs. Building, nurturing and managing teams at ES to carry on the support of both entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs, has been one of his key attributes to date. Jeremy is instrumental in keeping the methodology, enablement proposition and delivery, relevant as well as world class during his time with ES.
debbiedooodah is the Happy Business Strategist; an award-winning yellow obsessed empowerment & marketing coach helping entrepreneurs build financial freedom through business success. She's a digital marketing lecturer, podcaster, entrepreneur toolkit author, speaker and this year was named Digital Women of the Year and one of 2020's top 20 Inspirational Marketers, she's also been in Forbes and The Guardian!
Matt Davies is a solo brand and culture consultant. He helps business leaders align around powerful brand strategies which inspire more meaningful customer and employee experiences. As well as being an entrepreneur himself having held leadership positions in multiple businesses, he has over eighteen years experience working with businesses of all shapes and sizes from start-ups through to household names like Nestlé, Capital One, Boots, Experian, Nikon and Specsavers. Matt was recently listed as a ‘Top 50 UK Advisor’. He is a certified Level-C Brand Specialist. He is an industry fellow and occasional lecturer at NTU. Matt is an author (see his book ‘Storyategy’) a frequent public speaker, writer and thought-leader in areas on branding, creativity, design thinking, innovation, storytelling and marketing.
Fiona is a Partner at Knights Plc specialising in Franchising and leveraging brands and has many years’ experience in advising businesses on franchising and in particular on setting up, managing, growing and exiting franchise networks.She is a BFA Qualified Franchise Professional and has a postgraduate diploma with distinction in Commercial Intellectual Property Law. She is a Legal 500 Recommended Lawyer and Notable Practitioner in Chambers for franchise law.
Fiona is passionate about supporting women in business and is the Midlands Regional Chair of EWIF (Encouraging Women into Franchising), a member of the Association of Franchise Attorneys, has served as a member of the External Relations Committee of the British Franchise Association and is an author for Lexis Nexis PSL Commercial and Franchising. She is also a regular speaker at Bfa, Chamber of Commerce and industry events , and contributor to business press, franchise blogs and media.
