Art and Design research takes many forms and the conference will showcase new and emerging practices as well as theoretical studies and findings from fieldwork undertaken around the world.
The conference contributors include members of staff but also our doctoral students who will use presentations, posters, films and photographs to present their work. These will all be made available online at the School conference site from w/c 15th June so you can browse in advance of the conference itself. On each day there will be chat rooms to drop into, meet the authors and discuss any aspect of their work. You are also welcome to join workshops on Getting Published, Project proposals/PhD by Publication and PhD supervision.
The keynote speaker on 18th June is Dr. David Zaijtman from the Institut Français de la Mode, Paris, who will discuss the French fashion industry at a seminal period of its development between 1945-1975.
Attendance at this event is free and online registration is not required. Please do note however that the live scheduled sessions are limited to 250 attendees and will be recorded. The conference will be hosted via Microsoft Teams. A code to join the Team directly will be distributed to Art & Design School staff and PhD students w/c 15 June, and the programme and schedule are available here.
