This conference will include presentations for school-based research projects including:

  • Academic poster display (SEN and Inclusion)
  • MA paper presentations
  • Small-scale school research projects

Keynote addresses will include:

Dr Sue Dymoke, Associate Professor in Education, Nottingham Trent University

Dr Sue Dymoke FRSA is an Associate Professor in the Nottingham Institute of Education at Nottingham Trent University. She joined NTU in January 2020. Sue is a National Teaching Fellow, a Senior Fellow of the HEA and a published poet. Her research focuses on creative pedagogies, poetry education and young people’s poetry writing development. She is Principal Investigator, working with Dr Anthony Wilson, for Young Poets' Stories, a two year research project, funded by the Foyle Foundation. Publications include: Drafting and Assessing Poetry (Paul Chapman); Making Poetry Happen: Transforming the poetry classroom (Bloomsbury) and What They Left Behind (Shoestring Press).

Prof David Spendlove, Director of Teaching, Learning and Students; Strategic Director ITE, University of Manchester

Having had a successful career in secondary education, for the last twenty years, David’s work in Higher Education has involved policy, practice and research in a variety of areas including Teaching and Learning, Teacher Education, Technology Education and Creative and Design Education. Currently, David is Director of Teaching and Learning in the School of Environment, Education and Development, in addition to being the Senior Collaborative Adviser for the Moscow School of Social and Economic Sciences. David also holds a strategic role for oversight of Teacher Development in the Manchester Institute of Education, maintains an executive responsibility for the University of Manchester Teach First provision and is a trustee of the TRUE Learning Partnership.
