Event details
NTU Enterprise welcomes student, graduate entrepreneurs to join us for an event with Browne Jacobson to gain a better insight into intellectual property (IP) rights and the commercialisation of IP.
In this talk our first guest speaker, Kulpreet Virdi, will explain the basics of intellectual property rights, including the different types of intellectual property rights, why they are important and how you can protect them. Kulpreet loves to keep her legal talks fun so all of this will be explained through the medium of Pokémon!
Sam Sharp will also explore different structural models to exploitation of IP, in particular purely contractual joint ventures and separate spin outs/exploitation vehicles. Sam will consider the life cycle of these models from formation to operational matters and exit or termination of the JV/spin out focusing on the key provisions required for a successful exploitation strategy.
Guest speakers
