Circular Economy Principles
This round table event will explain the links between sustainability, capitalism, and how circular economic principles can contribute to business growth. There will be an opportunity for businesses to network, share knowledge, experiences, ideas, ask questions and identify future needs.
To benefit fully from the support, businesses need to also attend the feedback and presentation of toolkits session on 30 March, 11.30 am - 1.30 pm. The feedback event will provide knowledge, resources and bespoke business toolkits to assist leaders, managers and employees to apply circular economic principles within their business.

The High Level Skills programme (HLS) part-funded by ESF, invites local SMEs to a virtual event to discuss and co-design support around the theme of sustainability.
As a business working in D2N2, you may be interested to find out more about our Sustainability Round Table events which are available for business leaders and employees of SMEs that are based in the D2N2 area.
The Sustainability Round Table events are an opportunity for you to co-design your own support in business sustainability. Whichever industry your business operates within, these events will enable you to connect with like-minded businesses, discuss your sector-specific business needs, and co design your own bespoke support in the form of toolkits.
The toolkits will provide you with knowledge and resources to aid employees, teams and managers to implement sustainability initiatives that can be embedded within the business strategy contributes to sustainable growth.
Key topics include:
- Traditional economic models (capitalism/ neo-liberalism) and their relationship with sustainability
- The circular and doughnut economic models
- How to support graduates and employees to apply circular economy principles to the business
