A two-day bootcamp for student freelancers packed with valuable insight and practical tips

Event details

NTU Enterprise welcomes student and graduate entrepreneurs to join us for two days of workshops with Alison Grade and guests on how to be a great freelancer.

About the course

NTU Enterprise is working with Alison Grade to deliver a two-day bootcamp for NTU students on everything you need to know about freelancing.

Being a great freelancer is more than being great at working ‘in’ the work you want to do – you need to be great at working ‘on’ your freelancing. In this series of workshops you’ll learn from author of The Freelance Bible, Alison Grade, how to work ‘on’ your freelancing and prepare yourself so that you are best positioned to find the work you want to do.

This workshop series is essential for any student looking to work in the creative industries sector on graduation. A recent Creative Industries Federation report on freelancing showed that 47% of work in the creative industries is freelance. It’s highly likely that graduates will need to be ready to work as freelancers if not by design then by necessity. And it's not just in the creative industries - as the working landscape continues to change - the role of freelancing plays an important part in most sectors.

This workshop series will give students the knowledge and confidence to be great freelancers as well as a framework which they can use to work ‘on’ their freelancing and build successful and sustainable freelance careers.
