There is a very good chance that if you see a stunning astronomy picture it most likely was taken by the Hubble Space Telescope. But the telescope is now on its last legs and there is already a replacement ready to go.
This month's open dome event is inspired by the upcoming launch of the James Webb Telescope a space telescope that is set to out-perfom Hubble in so many areas. Dr D Brown (NTU) will explain in his talk Hubble's replacement - The James Webb Telescope what this amazing space telescope can do and its long journey to hopefully soon blast off into space.
This event is taking place as a hybrid event on NTU campus. This will allow a flexible way of attending. You are currently booking to attend virtually. A link to the material on YouTube will be emailed to everyone who is attending virtually in their confirmation email. We will be happy to answer questions posted as response to the video over the following days. So do keep booking onto this event. If you haven't booked you might need to wait a while before you can see it.
You can also attend the event in person but would need to book the Open Dome IN PERSON event to purchase your ticket.
