In this second online series of Workhouse Lives seminars for 2021-22 Nottingham Trent University, The National Archives and the Workhouse History and Heritage Association once again have a collection of experienced speakers deeply involved with research on the New Poor Law.
Our eight sessions each have a broad theme rather than a specific title – everything from lunatics through to autobiographers - something that allows our speakers to range widely across the intriguing stories that they have encountered in the context of workhouse lives and voices.
