Expect an eclectic programme of different musical styles, genres and instruments, as performers compete for the top prize.

Start time: 2 pm
Running time: 120 minutes

Situated on the University’s City Campus, the Newton building is a short walk from Nottingham city centre. Due to our central location we don’t have visitor parking available, but public transport will bring you almost to our door.
If you’re intending to park in the city centre, the closest (and largest) facilities to our City Campus are:
- Trinity Square (NG1 4BT): £4.30 - £13.00
- Talbot Street (NG1 5GG): £1.80 - £12.50
- The Victoria Centre (NG1 3QN): £3 - £15.00
Travel Info:
Visitors traveling on the tram are advised to get off at the Nottingham Trent University stop on Goldsmith Street.

Reserve your placeWe’re delighted to welcome an ensemble from the world-famous BBC Concert Orchestra to University Hall, for this special performance of Wynton Marsalis’ A Fiddler’s Tale. Conducted by Martyn Brabbins and featuring guest narrator Clarke Peters (The Wire, Spike Lee's Da 5 Bloods), Marsalis’ masterpiece is a retelling of Stravinsky’s The Soldier’s Tale (L'Histoire du soldat). This event is part of a double bill, with The Soldier’s Tale being performed at the University of Nottingham’s Lakeside Arts on Saturday 20 April.
