Following her popular online doll-making workshop last year, local artist Rita Kappia returns to Bonington Gallery to deliver an in-person workshop. Learn how to make your own Empowerment Doll using a range of common materials in this free creative workshop. Open to all, advance booking required.

Join artist Rita Kappia for an in person, doll-making workshop at Bonington Gallery. In this free workshop, you will learn how to make your own Empowerment Doll using a range of common materials.

The workshop is open to all and may be of particular interest to young people age 8-12; younger children supported by an adult; or adults and older children with an interest in dollmaking, textiles, fabrics, or art. All children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

You can book your free place online. Advance booking is required and places are limited to 20 participants.

Rita Kappia is an artist dollmaker from Nottingham. Rita Kappia's Empowerment Dolls have become synonymous with exploring artistic expression and self-identity. Her collectables have served as a reminder and representation of new empowering thoughts, feelings and expressions to explore and cultivate.
