The NTU observatory has hosted many different research projects for students both from NTU as well as abroad. They even included work carried out by placement students from schools. This year we are offering our NTU observatory audience the unique opportunity to shape our next summer research project.
This month Dr D Brown (NTU) will talk about Developing the NTU Observatory - Create our Next Research Project which will cover observation of exoplanets from our observatory, understanding planetary nebula, and exploring the oldest telescope-like building used 4,000 years ago. It will also introduce two new possible projects to take place at the observatory this summer and you can decide which one will be carried out. This event will also for the first time allow you to enter our new planetarium and explore the wonders of this month's night sky.
This event is taking place as a hybrid event on NTU campus. This will allow a flexible way of attending. You are currently booking to attend virtually and only the talk component. A link to the material on YouTube will be emailed to everyone who is attending virtually in their confirmation email. We will be happy to answer questions posted as response to the video over the following days. So do keep booking onto this event. If you haven't booked you might need to wait a while before you can see it.
You can also attend the event in person and enter our planetarium but would need to book the Open Dome IN PERSON event to purchase your ticket.
