Join us at our second Business Leaders Lecture of the academic year as we welcome Mike Keoghan, Deputy National Statistician & Director General, Economic, Social and Environmental Statistics Group at the Office for National Statistics.
Where we are, and where we are going with AI Data is an exciting prospect. This talk will explore ONS’ rationale behind AI data, examples of work we are doing and where we want to go next. Through the use of transactional data and data modelling the opportunities are not only endless, but play a critical role in how data, in it’s modern form, impacts and shapes our economy.

About the lecturer - Mike Keoghan
Mike Keoghan is Deputy National Statistician and the Director General of the Economic, Social and Environmental Group at the Office for National Statistics. Before this, Mike was the Chief Economic Adviser and Director of Analysis at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). Between 2020 and 2021 Mike also held the role of Acting Director General for Business Sectors at BEIS. During this time he was responsible for leading the UK government’s business policy, including delivering the EU Business readiness programme before the UK’s exit from the European Union.
