The bassist and producer of LEENALCHI is a highly acclaimed figure in the contemporary Korean music scene, Jang Young Gyu. Renowned as both a music director and a talented bassist, Jang has led numerous outstanding bands, including the unforgettable Uhuhboo Project and the mesmerizing Ssing Ssing, who transformed the Southbank Centre into a dynamic and vibrant dance hall in 2018.

Their groundbreaking approach to music, blending electrifying rap and breathtaking vocal performances, combined with a focus on bass and drums, earned them three prestigious awards at the 18th Korean Music Awards, including Musician of the Year and Best Modern Rock Song.

Following their sensational performances in Europe in 2022, LEENALCHI is now set to captivate audiences at renowned festivals worldwide including Roskilde, Pohoda, Womad and the FMM festival in Portugal.
