To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week 2023, we are pleased to invite employers to our first ever Apprenticeships Open Day.
This event will bring together prospective employers, apprentices, industry experts and members of the NTU apprenticeships team.

Event details
Held in conjunction with Nottingham College, this event aims to provide practical advice and guidance on how to access the many tangible benefits apprenticeships can bring to businesses, and help you find innovative solutions to your business needs.
Open to businesses from across all sectors and industries, this event will provide practical advice on how to access the many tangible benefits apprenticeships can provide, whilst helping you find innovative solutions to your business needs.
The day will feature short presentations on NTU’s apprenticeship offer and key elements of the recruitment and training process. There is also the opportunity to engage in one-to-one conversations with our team, current partners and industry experts.
Additionally, there will be networking opportunities with other businesses and colleagues from NTU and Nottingham College.
Programme
The Apprenticeships Open Day will run from 1 - 5 pm. The first half of the event will give prospective apprentices a chance to meet employers- with the focus then moving to potential apprentice employers between 3 -5 pm.
During this time, attendees can liaise informally with current apprenticeship employers and academics on their stands.
Between 3 - 4 pm, members of the NTU Apprenticeships team will deliver a series of short presentations from a central stage area, highlighting key information on recruitment, training and funding.
From 4 pm, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions of current apprenticeship employers and apprentices, industry experts and members of our apprenticeships team during a live panel discussion.
The event will conclude with the reveal of nominations for the NTU Apprenticeship Awards 2023, before refreshments and networking.
