Event details
This paper considers the initiative Future of Futures - a Nottingham-based youth led artistic project.
It is set in a future version of the city at the end of the 21st century, and young people were asked to collectively reimagine the city of Nottingham, our society and culture. In this paper, we also shed light on how the Future of Futures programme creates a space for young people to engage in social issues through the arts. Additionally, we provide relevant insights on the impact the programme had on young people’s political empowerment and emancipation beyond the programme itself, by allowing them to re-create and re-imagine the world they want to live in.
