Event details

In this taster day you’ll get the opportunity to experience a ‘Day in the life of a Computer Science Student’ at NTU.

Join us at our Clifton Campus where you will start the day by taking part in a welcome and introduction to the Department of Computer Science and explore some of the courses we offer from our academics.

Across the day you will have the opportunity to explore the Department’s facilities where we will teach you Mobile Development, Virtual Reality, Robotics and Security in our laboratories. You will be able to meet one of our current researchers, who will explain what new areas of Computer Science they are currently investigating.

Throughout the day you will have the opportunity to tour our facilities by our current Computer Science students where you can find out what life is like studying Computer Science at the award-winning Modern University of the Year.

Finally, we will finish the day with a question-and-answer session with our academics and students where you’ll have the chance to learn about the varied career paths and opportunities the respected degrees offer.

This experience can also be used to help your Personal Statement stand out!

The day is free of charge and lunch will be provided. It’s also perfect if you haven’t decided which specific discipline you want to study yet as you will have the chance to learn about the different areas and have a chat to academics about the different degrees.

You must be 16 or over to sign up to this event and be studying a Computer Science related subject either A Levels or BTEC.

If you are a teacher and would like to make a group booking,  please contact victoria.sutton@ntu.ac.uk
