Enterprising Ashfield is a project that supports businesses in and around Kirkby-in-Ashfield and Sutton-in-Ashfield to innovate and grow. The project is delivered by NTU, in partnership with Ashfield District Council and is part-funded by the Government’s Town Fund.

This event is the second in a series run by Enterprising Ashfield, designed to support the future of your business. The session will focus on Supply Chain Management with discussions around the unprecedented changes and challenges many sectors are facing.

Delivered by two of our experienced senior procurement specialists, Rob Johnson and Jayne Adams will discuss issues facing many businesses and talk about how the Enterprising Ashfield project can help further with their programme of bespoke workshops and company specific 1-2-1 consultancy.

Programme

8.30 am - Breakfast refreshments (bacon & sausage cobs)

9 am - Introduction from the Enterprising Ashfield team

9.10 am - Presentation and discussion with Rob Johnson, Visiting Lecturer and Lead Consultant, and Jayne Adams, Senior Lecturer and Consultant, around issues facing supply chain management and how the Enterprising Ashfield project can support local businesses to add value, manage risks and protect the business from disruption, with their ongoing support package.

9.40 am - Group discussion exploring current issues (you'll be asked a few question on the event registration form to facilitate this session - this is not compulsory and answers shared will be non-attributable)

10 am - Round up and explanation of next steps to sign up for further support

10.15 am - Finish

Staff profiles:

Rob Johnson, Visiting Lecturer and Lead Consultant
Rob is a former senior executive in global automotive and aerospace supply chain management with a track record of delivering bottom line results, and leading paradigm performance shifts in supplier QCD. He has a deep knowledge of lean manufacturing and supply chain methodology, gained from over a decade’s experience at Toyota and subsequent executive roles in Jaguar Land Rover and Rolls-Royce

Jayne Adams, Senior Lecturer and Consultant
Jayne is a senior lecturer in Supply Chain Management at NTU and course leader for the MSc Masters programme. Her specialist fields are in lean and agile supply chain practices, cost reduction and how to develop sustainable and ethical sourcing. She has created and delivered bespoke supply chain modules for executives in a wide range of industries. Prior to working in academia Jayne was a procurement professional with 15 years' experience at Nissan and PWC, leading change management projects
