Come along to find out more about us, the work we do and how your company can get involved with our students and research. This event is for companies that have an existing relationship with us but want to re-establish links or find out other ways we can support each other, as well as those new to the department that just want to find out more!

5.30 pm - 7.30 pmProf Karen Slade is a forensic psychologist with over 30 years’ experience across the criminal justice system, including prison, probation and police services whilst working at NTU for over a decade. In this talk, we will explore how her encounters within prisons and probation services influenced her dedication to developing transformative measures aimed at mitigating suicide and self-harm amongst individuals engaged with the Criminal Justice System. She will take you on a journey through her practical experience and research in suicide prevention and dual harm, showcasing how to create meaningful transformation.
