We’re delighted to welcome an ensemble from the world-famous BBC Concert Orchestra to University Hall, for this special performance of Wynton Marsalis’ A Fiddler’s Tale. Conducted by Martyn Brabbins and featuring guest narrator Clarke Peters (The Wire, Spike Lee's Da 5 Bloods), Marsalis’ masterpiece is a retelling of Stravinsky’s The Soldier’s Tale (L'Histoire du soldat). This event is part of a double bill, with The Soldier’s Tale being performed at the University of Nottingham’s Lakeside Arts on Saturday 20 April.

Irish-Chinese pianist Aidan Chan takes to the University Hall stage showcasing a dynamic programme featuring Wagner transcriptions by Kocsis andLiszt, and works from Qigang Chen and Chen Yi. We're also delighted to commission a new work from award-winning British-Chinese composer Alex Ho, that will be premiered at this event. Pay what you decide for tickets!
