The shape of the UK's road and rail transport over the next two decades will be mapped out by a leading expert speaking at Nottingham Business School.

Professor Richard Parry-Jones, an influential automotive technologist, is to give a business leaders lecture at the business school, part of Nottingham Trent University, on Wednesday 19 March.

During ten years as vice-president of global product development at Ford Motor Company, he shaped and determined the direction of new technology and products in the global automotive industry.

Now as co-chairman of the UK Automotive Council and chairman of Network Rail he is guiding future investment in transport technologies that will determine the UK's future role in the automotive and rail industry.

In his lecture, Professor Parry-Jones will share his unparalleled insight and how sustainable mobility will take shape over the next two decades.

There is no admission charge for the lecture and it is open to the public. It will begin with registration from 5.45 pm and the lecture will start at 6 pm at Nottingham Trent University's city centre site.
