Quality Value Style Global (QVS) has recently awarded several cash prizes to Year Two students on our BA (Hons) Fashion Communication and Promotion course, for a project they completed during the summer.

QVS create innovative beauty tools and have the largest market share in the UK for beauty accessories.

Year One students had their imagination and creativity tested as they were asked to make a brand new product that QVS could sell to the public.

The students commented, "It was great to still be involved with a real life industry when we were on our summer break, and to win cash prizes was a huge bonus."

Students Charlotte Williams, Kirsty Foster and Charlotte Marshall were short listed to present their ideas and products to a panel of judges, including:

  • Jade Gill, Marketing Manager, QVS
  • Lucie Kelleher, Sales and Marketing Assistant, QVS
  • Rhianna Kerry, Marketing Assistant, QVS and NTU alumna.

Charlotte Williams, who won a cash prize of £500 and a selection of beauty products, commented, "I can't wait to update my CV and Linkedin account to move me closer to my marketing career."

Runners-up Kirsty Foster and Charlotte Marshall were both awarded £100.  Kirsty's idea was a male travel wallet filled with grooming accessories, and Charlotte's was eco-friendly travel bottles.

Jade Gill from QVS said, "All the ideas were absolutely fantastic, commercially viable and great for the mass market."
