New Contemporaries is the leading UK organisation supporting emergent art practice from British Art Schools. One of only two open exhibitions in the UK, participants are selected by a panel comprising influential art figures including curators, writers and artists often who have themselves previously been a part of the New Contemporaries, and a rigorous process that considers the work within a broad cultural context. Showcasing final year students, graduates, and artists one year out of study, the annual national touring exhibition has consistently been a barometer of contemporary art practice, shining a spotlight on the hottest talents of the year.

NTU Fine Art graduate Dinah Berger has been selected out of 1,400 submissions to show two pieces of moving image at the show alongside over 50 other artists, including the likes of previous exhibitors Damien Hirst and David Hockney.

Dinah said, "The works that have been selected were part of a body of work. Within my art practice I explore ideas of watching, being watched and watching back. I'm interested in using the autobiographical to talk about something wider sociologically.

"When I found out I had been selected I felt extremely excited, lucky and honoured. I felt humbled by such an incredible opportunity."

As an integral part of the Liverpool Biennial since it began, Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2014 will launch at World Museum, Liverpool from 20 September – 26 October 2014, before touring ICA, London from 26 November 2014 – 25 January 2015.
