Final Year BA (Hons) Fashion Management student Olivia Pye was awarded the Gwyn Stevenson Award at her graduation. David Mills from The Textile Distributors Association (TDA) was at the celebration to speak to the students and present Olivia her £1,000 award.

Course Leader Liz Watson explained that Olivia was nominated for the award by the course staff as a result of being the top performing student overall that year.

Olivia has already secured and started a graduate job with clothing brand Phase Eight, working as a Buyers Assistant in daywear and knitwear, based in London.

The Fashion Management course has had a long-standing relationship with the TDA and David Mills visited the course in April this year to present nine separate awards of £200 to students, for their exceptional academic performance during Year Two.

At the time David commented, "The TDA would have been celebrating its 100 year anniversary this year. We had £30,000 left in funds and decided that this should go to the BA (Hons) Fashion Management course at Nottingham Trent University."
