Do you want some quick and friendly advice about writing? Just drop-in to see one of our Student Mentors.

Your library offers a variety of help with study skills, including drop-in sessions with our Student Mentors.  We have mentors available at all of our campus libraries who can provide you with peer support using their own experience as students at the University.  They're easy to spot - they'll be wearing a purple T-shirt or hooded top.

Student Mentors are second year, final year, and postgraduate students who work in the library, and come from subjects taught across the University. They're available at the following times and locations through term time:

Brackenhurst

  • Wednesday, 3 pm - 4 pm
  • Thursday, 1 pm - 2 pm

City (Boots Library)

  • Monday, 11 am - 3 pm
  • Tuesday, 11 am - 1 pm
  • Wednesday, 1 pm - 4 pm
  • Thursday, 11 am - 1 pm; 2 pm - 3 pm
  • Friday, 12 pm - 2 pm

Clifton

  • Monday, 1 pm - 2 pm
  • Tuesday, 1 pm - 2 pm
  • Wednesday, 12 pm - 2 pm
  • Thursday, 11am - 2 pm
  • Friday, 12 pm - 1 pm

You can also book an appointment with a Learning and Teaching Librarian, Academic Skills Adviser, or Student Mentor via our online booking system.
