The-Art-Form is a new, limited edition, publication about art and artists founded by NTU alumnus, artist and designer Andrew Townsend (BA (Hons) Graphic Design 1999).

All the featured artists have answered a set of questions about art in their own unique way, giving an insight into their work and working practice. Some of the artists have created drawings, paintings and sketches in response to the questions.

Andrew said: "I wanted to create an art publication that focused on the artist, giving them the freedom to talk about their work, free from critique or a writer's opinion, by using direct questions to get to the heart of the artist's practice."

Many of the artists have created original work especially for The-Art-Form. One of the requests asked the artists to 'Make Art Here'. In response, one of the artists, Ian Davenport, created a beautiful, small-scale painting, using his dripping technique. Other artists including Dan Baldwin and Rana Begum made every page of the form into a unique artwork.

All the photographs for the publications have been taken by fellow NTU alumnus, Ryan Garwood (BA (Hons) Photography 2014).
