Second year Architecture students worked with East Midlands homebuilder Davidsons on a project to explore ideas for homes of the future. Students visited developments where they explored construction processes, urban design and interior design with Davidson's Design Director, Iain Pickering.
Over the months following the site visits, the students developed concepts and prototypes, finally showcasing their ideas at a University exhibition organised by the students themselves.
After the visits, Iain said: "Students are great to work with as they approach us with a range of interesting and creative ideas – they challenge us to think differently.
"It's conceivable that some of their suggestions might become a common day feature in homes for the future. We're always interested in what NTU students come up with."
