Members of industry gathered at Nottingham Trent University to present prizes to students from BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering, BSc (Hons) Civil Engineering and MSc (Hons) Structural Engineering recognising student achievements from all years.

Representatives from accrediting bodies the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and The Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) joined national companies such as VolkerFitzpatrick Ltd and Hays Consulting Engineering to present prizes to the students. The awards ranged from outstanding contribution and achievement in Civil Engineering, to more specific recognition such as the prize for outstanding project in Geotechnics.

Mark Davison, Academic Team Leader for Civil Engineering said afterwards: "The student awards are an integral part of our Civil Engineering courses and the prize award evening is an event we hold every year. These awards allow students to be recognised for their achievements either for the year of study as a whole, or for particular modules in which they have excelled. We have a lot of great links with industry who sponsor the prizes and attend the evening to present to the winners. It's a great chance for students to interact with representatives from these companies and explore possible work placements or graduate roles."

Congratulations to all students.
