Nottingham Business School hosted a networking drinks reception for BA (Hons) International Business alumni at the British Library in central London.

The event was well attended with more than 30 BA (Hons) International Business alumni. The guests were greeted on arrival by Rachel Welton (Course Leader for our International Business courses) and Melanie Currie (Associate Dean and Head of Undergraduate Courses) with Dr Yvonne Carlisle (ATL HR division) and Fiona Winfield NBS Employability Coordinator also in attendance.

The aim of the event was to reconnect graduates from Nottingham Business School's undergraduate International Business courses with one another, and also with the School. Held on Tuesday 12 May 2015 from 6 pm and concluding around 8 pm, the guests were given the opportunity to network while a selection of canapés and drinks were served throughout the evening.

Rachel Welton said; "Events such as these are an excellent way for our alumni to catch up with one another and hear about each other’s achievements since university. The events not only give our alumni the chance to reconnect personally but also gives them the potential to build on or create professional relationships."

As part of the event, Melanie Currie gave the guests a talk about accreditation developments for BA (Hons) International Business students. The event also gave Nottingham Business School a platform to promote all the various opportunities for alumni involvement, including guest talks, student mentoring and the alumni fellowship, amongst many other activities.
