The Roses Student Creativity Award was judged by a panel of experts from industry which included Bruce Thomas (Modern English), Chris Forrester (Vivid) and Tim Jarvis (McCann). Emma was presented with her award at the black tie event by Managing Director of The Drum, Richard Braycott.

Emma told us: “The awards ceremony was a fantastic evening! I felt honoured to attend such a prestigious event and to win gold in front of so many respected companies was truly overwhelming and certainly is one of my proudest achievements. It was such a privilege to be in an environment where well-established creatives were celebrating and rewarding amazing industry talent.

"I would like to hope that receiving this award will bring positive things for my future career. It is reassuring to hear brilliant feedback from the industry and I am hoping that it will be a valuable achievement to enhance not only my career, but also give me the confidence to push my creativity."

Emma's winning work was a response to a brief set by Modern English called Street Food Review App, which challenged students to create an app concept to help both vendors and consumers engage with each other.

As the winner of this brief, Emma will enjoy a placement with Modern English, one of the UK's leading social and mobile technology agencies.
