It was a successful evening for NTU at Young Creative Awards as our students won a number of prizes at the prestigious event.

Across the 11 categories, which spans from music, photography and film, to creative writing, dance and architecture, NTU students won four categories and were awarded highly commended for two others.

The competition celebrates the vast wealth of up and coming creative talent in Nottingham, and this year's awards event was hosted at Nottingham Playhouse. Winners walked away with cash prizes and the opportunity to undertake short internships with sponsors, which included organisations such as Speedo and Dance4.

Connor Molde, who was part of the winning team for the Animation and Digital Media 19-24 category, said: "We entered the competition through one of our course's projects. It was a completely new experience for me, learning new techniques, so it was great to win an award at such a well-respected competition."

The 19-24 Photography winner, Kim Watson, was delighted to receive her award, saying: "The award has given me the confidence to be able to develop my practice, keep entering competitions, and take on all the opportunities that come my way. I also won a cash prize and valuable work experience with a local photography business that specialises in event photography."
