CBIL plays host to South African academics

Two academics from the University of Johannesburg, South Africa visit the Centre for Business and Insolvency Law October 2015.

The Centre for Business and Insolvency Law recently played host to Professors Kathleen van der Linde and Juanitta Calitz, both of the University of Johannesburg, South Africa, who visited the Centre in the week beginning 5 October 2015.

Kathleen is Head of the Department of Mercantile Law at Johannesburg and teaches Business Enterprises Law, Corporate Finance Law and Securities and Financial Markets Law. She is responsible for the Diploma in Corporate Law. Kathleen's primary research interests are in corporate finance law and corporate insolvency law. 

Juanitta is a lecturer in the same department, where she specialises in Insolvency Law and lectures on Corporate Insolvency Law. She also presents the Diploma in Insolvency Law and Practice at the University. Both Kathleen and Juanitta are prolific authors in the company and insolvency law fields and are long standing members of the INSOL International Academics' Group.

While in Nottingham, both Kathleen and Juanitta will be meeting with members of the Centre to discuss mutual research interests and possible collaborations.
