Over 90 employers from property, design and construction industries flocked to NTU to participate in the annual recruitment fair. The event allowed students who are studying property, design and construction related degrees to discover graduate and placement opportunities in many major industries. It was also an opportunity to gain job-hunting, CV, and application form tips from professional careers consultants.

A number of industry leading companies attended the fair including Balfour Beatty, Faithful + Gould, and Volkerfitzpatrick. A large amount of NTU graduate and placement students were also representing these companies, giving students advice on how they got the role and the opportunities the companies and the industry offers.

Many of the graduates that attended were thoroughly impressed by both the students they spoke to and the professionalism of the event. Gabriella Rozwadowska an MSc International Real Estate Investment and Finance graduate who now works for Cushman & Wakefield, said: "It is great being back at the University, as I feel I have the opportunity to give back to the students here. The level of support at the University is incredible and there are a lot of talented students here."

Joe Barratt an MSc Quantity Surveying graduate who has now gone on to work for Gleeds described the event as: "A surreal but satisfying feeling to return to the event that ultimately placed me in employment." He also went on to explain how it helped him find employment: "The role in which I am currently employed is wholly down to my attendance of the careers fair. After speaking to my now recruitment manager at the careers fair in 2013 I was called back three months later and invited in for interview."

In addition to the many high regarded industries there were also many of world's largest and most influential professional across all of the different areas. Sue Williams who is a regular at NTU's recruitment fair, said: "It is a brilliant event for making contact with students who are interested in advancing their career prospects through the Charted Institute of Building."
