NTU Concert Band receive Silver award at the National Concert Band Festival

NTU Concert Band takes part in the East Midlands Regional Concert Band Festival and receives Silver award.

On Sunday 15 November the NTU Concert Band took part in East Midlands Regional Concert Band Festival and were awarded Silver!

Held at Nottingham High School, the NTU Concert Band had fifteen minutes to impress the panel of two adjudicators. They played four pieces which exemplified the band’s ability to play both sensitively and technically. The adjudicators commented on their stylish and rhythmic playing.

Third year student and euphonium player Joel Moore said: "Playing in the NCBF was a great experience. It was the first competition for the band and gave us the opportunity to play in a different environment. It was also great as it was just up the road!"

The concert band have an exciting year ahead as they host their first ever Concert Band Evening in February 2016. They will also be heading to Bruges in June 2016 on their first European tour.
