The NTU Employability team recently held their very first Science and Technology Graduate and Placement Fair, in the new Pavilion building on our Clifton campus.

The event offered students the opportunity to meet employers from a diverse range of industries and sectors and proved to be a great success. Over 700 students attended and there were 41 exhibitors in total, ranging from Boots to Hewlett Packard to HM Revenue and Customs to the Royal Air Force.

Trevor Roberts, Employer Engagement Team Manager in the NTU Employability team, said: "This event was to give students and employers a platform to network in a structured but relaxed environment enabling a greater understanding of opportunities available and potential partnerships for both parties.

"Initial feedback has shown it as a definite success for the students, employers and the University. All that attended commented on how busy it was and that it definitely had a real buzz about it.

"The support from professional services and academics, who not only encouraged students to attend but also took time out to network with employers was greatly appreciated."

NTU's recruitment fairs are free to attend and provide a cost-effective way to bring new talent into any organisation, whether you are looking for a permanent member of staff or considering a student placement.

If you are an employer interested in exhibiting at future recruitment events please email us or telephone on +44 (0)115 848 3178.
