Global Week 2016

Global Week 2016

Global Week is a vibrant, inspiring festival showcasing our multinational community on the NTU campus. Through art, dancing, sport and food, it connects and celebrates the different cultural heritages of our students and provides opportunities for both students and staff to extend their international outlook. Be sure to visit the Global Week 2016 website and check out the daily timetables to see the range of exciting activities you can take part in each day.

This year, NTU Libraries are hosting a range of activities across all three sites linked to the Global theme.

  • International photographic exhibition – Each library is hosting an International Photo exhibition and competition. There will be a display of around 30 photographs taken from around the world by NTU's exchange and international students, and students can vote for their favourite. The winner will be announced on Friday 4th March.
  • International opportunities exhibition – Learn more about the exciting international placement opportunities available to students through the stories of students who have already been there.
  • Indian cultural stall – Students can learn more about how henna is used as a traditional (and temporary) form of Indian skin decoration
  • Elefair global crafts – Students will have the opportunity to make a prayer flag, learn about origami, knotting, bead making, and methila art. Students can add a prayer flag to the 'Line of Goodwill', or decorate a lamp for a globally themed installation to be displayed in the City.
  • ISEP / Summer schools – A stall where students can learn about the International Student Exchange Programme and the summer school opportunities available to NTU students.

Check out the library plasma screens, posters, and the NTU Library Community Facebook page for information on all the library events.
