Resource List Project - Have your say

Resource List Project - Have your say

We are keen to enhance your experiences of using the online resource lists. We are undertaking a project to look not only at library processes for making sure you have the best possible access to everything on your online resource list, but also how you and academics use the lists too.

Just before Christmas we ran both an exit poll at Boots library and student focus groups at all three campuses to discover what you read to support your studies, how you use the online resource lists, and what you like and dislike about them. The participants gave us a lot of food for thought that will help influence how we support the service and your information needs. The key highlights are that the participants like:

• the online lists as they link direct to resources
• all the reading to be on their online lists
• the RLMS widget to be placed prominently in their Learning Rooms on NOW
• their lists to be structured into sections and to have annotations.

However, it seems that very few use the additional personalised functionality within the system.

Why not let us have your views too?

A big thanks to all the participants. Everyone was entered into a prize draw for Amazon vouchers, and last week Emma presented two out of the five winners, Lauren Hoggard and Victoria Cheadle, with their prizes.
