Students awarded CIPD Certificate in Human Resources Practice

On Wednesday 9 December 2015, 21 students who successfully completed the Certificate in Human Resources Practice were presented with their Certificates.

On Wednesday 9 December 2015, 21 students who successfully completed the Certificate in Human Resources Practice were presented with their Certificates. The qualification, which is awarded by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), enables practitioners to develop HR professional skills and knowledge and to gain Associate Membership of the CIPD.

The students work in HR roles representing organisations including Boots, DHL Aviation, Asda, Eversheds Law, Host Europe, TDX, Central Shopfitters Ltd, TecQuipment, Loughborough University, and NTU.

Yvonne Carlisle, Head of Division – Human Resource Management, representing NBS, and Chris Kisby, local CIPD Branch Representative and partner at law firm Shakespeare Martineau, presented the students with their Certificates and spoke about trends in the field of HR. Philip Whiteland, former Course Leader, was invited back as guest speaker and gave an entertaining talk about his experience of working in HR and as Course Leader.

Adam Reynolds and Jill Tinkley provided an amusing and heartfelt vote of thanks on behalf of the students, expressing the value of the learning from the programme and how it has enhanced their professional HR careers.
