Our BA (Hons) Textile Design students have been on a five-day trip to Paris to visit Première Vision Fabrics – the world’s premier fabric show. The trip was open to Year Two students, giving them a chance to visit the global event and complete research.

Première Vision Fabrics is a global event for fashion professionals, with six complimentary shows brought together in one place. Sixty-two thousand industry professionals from over 120 countries come together to share ideas, work and build their new collections. More than 1,900 exhibitors from 57 countries present their collections developed with the needs of the fashion market in mind.

As well as visiting the event, students were also given lots of free time to explore the city and visit museums, galleries and other Paris landmarks. The suggested itinerary for the week included a number of museums, such as the Louvre, as well as exhibitions and concept stores that the students could use to get inspiration for their projects.
