On Thursday 28 April, the International Tourism final year undergraduate module concluded with a celebration of successes and achievement, with this year's cohort completing the Certificate in Sustainable Tourism and the BA (Hons) International Business Oath Project.

Staff and students gathered in the Old Chemistry Theatre for the afternoon awards ceremony, which commenced with an inspirational guest lecture on Conscious Leadership from Anna Pollock, founder of The Conscious Traveller and a leading consultant, researcher and expert in sustainable tourism, extending one of the key themes of the module.

Led by Professor Baback Yazdani, Dean of Nottingham Business School; Melanie Currie, Associate Dean of Nottingham Business School; and Amanda Thompson, Head of Undergraduate Programmes at Nottingham Business School, students were then awarded their certificates of completion for their Certificate in Sustainable Tourism.

This additional qualification was developed by the module team, with the invaluable support of Seraphina Brown in NTU's Green Academy, as a contextualised version of the Sustainability in Practice Certificate.

The best ethical declarations were awarded travel-themed prizes, and these went to Adriana Domenech-Riera (first prize), Suraj Kumar, Ryan Halliwell, Thu Nguyen and Teresa Ballester Solis. Additional prizes were awarded to Nicola Marcus, Sarah Clarkson, Charlotte Ffitch and Lydia Jones for their outstanding contributions and proactivity as members of the @Tour_Exchange #NTUITourism community.
