The third annual Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Research Cluster Conference hosted by the Department of Politics and International Relations, School of Social Sciences was held on Thursday 7 April 2016 at Nottingham Trent University.

The third annual Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Research Cluster Conference hosted by the Department of Politics and International Relations, School of Social Sciences was held on Thursday 7 April 2016 at Nottingham Trent University.

This one day interdisciplinary conference explored a range of phenomena shaping the region, including: conflict, instability, radicalisation and the mass displacement of people which have become increasingly salient features of the political and economic landscape of the region.

Established academics, early career researchers, PhD candidates and practitioners attended to present their research and network. Delegates included scholars from a range of institutions both in the UK and abroad, including Nottingham Trent University, University of Oxford, University of Nottingham, University of Exeter, Gdansk University (Poland), Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy (Washington, DC), Lodz University (Poland), and Syracuse University (USA).
