Final year BA (Hons) Photography students Amy Gee and Kezia White have been awarded £500 worth of production services to help them in the production of their Degree Show work, courtesy of Genesis Imaging.

Genesis Imaging is a leading supplier of photographic printing, professional mounting and bespoke framing services. For almost 20 years they have been working with world-class photographers and artists, international galleries, museums, interior designers, architectures and individuals across the breadth of the creative industries. Genesis Imaging has continued to support our final year photography students with the Genesis Student Bursaries now being in their seventh year.

Students were invited to submit their work for an initial review by Mark Foxwell, Creative Director of Genesis Imaging, and Louise Clements, Co-Founder of the Format International Photography Festival and Artistic Director at Derby Quad. They were then called back for small seminar-style sessions, which aimed to help each student to progress their work and receive feedback and advice from Mark, Louise and their peers.

When asked how it felt to win, student Amy Gee told us: "Winning the NTU Bursary Award with Genesis Imaging felt really good. It gave me a lot of confidence towards my work and it has encouraged me to get involved with independent companies regarding photography and the images I am exhibiting. Genesis Imaging rewarded me with £500 to spend on their printing facilities, so now I have a great opportunity to get creative with how I display my work for the exhibition!"

There is one final bursary that Genesis Imaging is still to award – this time it will be based on finished work exhibited as part of NTU's Degree Show. The winning student will receive £1,000 to help them to progress their work after graduation, and a solo exhibition.
