CBIL Plays Host to South African Academic

Professor Kathleen van der Linde, Head of the Department of Mercantile Law at the University of Johannesburg, visits Nottingham Law School to discuss research and future collaborations.

The Centre for Business and Insolvency Law at Nottingham Law School recently played host to Professor Kathleen van der Linde of the University of Johannesburg, South Africa, who visited the Centre in the week beginning 4 July 2016.

Kathleen is the Head of the Department of Mercantile Law at the University of Johannesburg and teaches Business Enterprises Law, Corporate Finance Law and Securities and Financial Markets Law. She is also responsible for the Diploma in Corporate Law. Kathleen's primary research interests are in Corporate Finance Law and Corporate Insolvency Law.

Kathleen is a prolific author in the company and insolvency law fields and a long standing member of the INSOL International Academics' Group, which is meeting in London later in July. While in Nottingham, Kathleen will be meeting with members of the Centre to discuss mutual research interests and possible collaborations.
