Celebrating women in business

Nottingham Trent University are once again partnering with The Nottingham Post to celebrate the outstanding achievements of female entrepreneurs and professionals in Nottinghamshire.

Nottingham Trent University is once again partnering with the Nottingham Post to celebrate the outstanding achievements of female entrepreneurs and professionals in Nottinghamshire.

The fourth annual Nottingham Post Women in Business Awards were announced at a launch event on Tuesday 6 September. The awards are designed to promote the role of women in business, reward success, and highlight positive female role models to inspire others.

This year's Women in Business Awards features 14 categories, including two new additions for Digital Ambassador and Women in Construction. The winners will be celebrated at a ceremony at Nottingham’s Crowne Plaza Hotel on Wednesday 23 November 2016.

Dr Polly Pick, corporate programmes leader at Nottingham Business School, part of Nottingham Trent University, attended the launch event. She said: "These awards are a fantastic way to recognise the diverse and vital roles that women play in organisations across Nottingham.”

Last year's competition received more than 500 nominations, and we are hoping for even more this year. If you have been inspired by a female professional, why not nominate them for one of the awards? You can do this on the Nottingham Post website.
