NTU Chamber Choir to travel to New Delhi and Chandigarh on music tour

The Chamber Choir are currently preparing for their upcoming tour to India where they will be performing in New Delhi and Chandigarh. The choir is made of 32 singers, who are all students, staff or alumni of the university.

The Chamber Choir are currently preparing for their upcoming tour to India where they will be performing in New Delhi and Chandigarh. The choir is made of 32 singers, who are all students, staff or alumni of the university.

Every year the Chamber Choir embark on a European tour and in the past have visited Holland, Spain, Czech Republic and Hungary. In April 2016, the choir travelled to Spain where they performed in Barcelona’s most prestigious venues, including La Sagrada Familia, Monserrat Abbey and Barcelona Cathedral. This is the first year the choir have extended their tour out of Europe.

The Chamber Choir will be performing in the British Council Theatre in Delhi and at Panjab University, Chandigarh. The choir will also be performing in 5 schools located in both New Delhi and Chandigargh, as well as the Alliance Francaise de Chandigargh during their visit.

Their concert programme will be varied, ranging from traditional choral pieces by 20th century composers, to choral arrangements of current popular music.
