Elevator Workshops for Creative and Digital Businesses

Creative and digital businesses are invited to attend Elevator workshops to support their business

The Big House team at Nottingham Trent University are now halfway through the second Elevator series. The series equips creative and digital small-medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire with the business support they need to grow.

The series gives SMEs the opportunities to receive mentoring from specialists, develop new insights into their business and connect and network with other local business networks.

Creative and digital businesses buying in external expertise can receive an Elevator grant from NTU, which will refund them 30% of their overall cost.

Who can get Elevator support?

In order to access the Elevator support, your business must be:

  • an SME (fewer than 250 employees)
  • in the creative or digital sector
  • trading or is ready to trade
  • registered with HMRC or Companies House
  • based Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire
  • buying in temporary expertise for a project, if applying for a grant.

Series two is already fully booked and the team are planning ahead for series three. The workshops will run again due to popular demand, so businesses that are interested in the events below can contact the Big House team to be put on a waiting list. The list may be subject to some change.

What is The Big House?

The Elevator grants and workshops are part of the Big House programme. The Big House covers several partner organisations, all of which support creative and digital industries and those starting up in these sectors in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. Partners include Derby Quad, The Creative Quarter, University of Derby, New Art Exchange, NBV: Enterprise Solutions Ltd and Derby Theatre.

The Big House is part-funded by the European regional Development Fund and will run until 2019.
